Why this role matters

This is a pivotal, transformational role, responsible for leading the production team and delivering the step-change that makes Quentor faster, smarter and more consistent.

Working in a fast-paced, high-precision environment, you’ll use data as your compass to improve workflows, evolve the product-development lifecycle, and build a high-performing team. The impact you make will be felt across the whole business — with excellent opportunities for future progression.

What you’ll do

  • Own production delivery — plan, schedule and manage manufacture to hit exacting customer specifications for quality, cost and delivery.
  • Drive transformation — design, prove and embed production systems and digital shop-floor capture so decisions are driven by accurate, timely data.
  • Lead continuous improvement — champion lean and value-engineering initiatives to reduce cycle time, increase machine availability and cut waste.
  • Solve problems with data — analyse downtime and performance trends, use root-cause analysis to remove barriers, and turn insight into action.
  • Deliver quality and compliance — ensure every product meets regulatory and customer standards and support ISO, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Build and develop the team — recruit, train and coach shop-floor talent; foster a safe, collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Manage costs and technology — optimise materials and inventory, partner with procurement and finance, and introduce technology upgrades.
  • Be a visible leader — act as a credible interface with senior management, customers and suppliers.

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for production delivery and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, ERP/MRP systems and KPI-driven performance management.
  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of health & safety practices and HSE standards.
  • Proven project and change management experience.
  • A people-focused leader with energy, resilience and sound judgement backed by data.
  • Relevant manufacturing or engineering qualification.
  • Six Sigma or other CI certification (desirable).
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 / ISO14001.
